Posting Summary |
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Program Coordinator II for The Office of Summer and Winter Sessions. The role reports to the assistant director and does not have direct reports.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Assists with the coordination and administration of programs, projects, and/or processes that align with the logistics and daily operations of summer, winter, and pre-college programs-ensuring a seamless experience for students, faculty, and staff.
- Coordinates routine moving parts that support academic and student programs, business office functions (such as procurement and seasonal program staff hires), and summer/winter visiting students, allowing programs to run efficiently and effectively while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
- Supports student needs, enrollment, and assisting student success initiatives by ensuring an outstanding student experience.
- Performs professional work that requires knowledge of general program coordination practices and the basic application and use of office concepts, theories, and terminology.
- Contributes to serving the mission of the office and working with staff, vendors, students, parents, and academic partners, promoting a positive team culture.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience that demonstrates foundational knowledge and understanding of program planning, coordination, registrations, organization, facilitation, and customer service.

Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position; Use of personal vehicle in order to travel for business demands.

- Good communication skills.
- Ability to effectively work on multiple projects.
- Ability to attend to detail, and have a team-oriented, positive approach towards work.
- Must be computer-savvy and a quick learner.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Knowledge of Rutgers or other university applications (Cornerstone, Oracle, SAS portal, Concur, ROCS). Previous work experience in a university environment.
- Experience coordinating educational or academic programs including planning logistics, managing registrations, and working with diverse student populations.
- Proficiency with administrative and project management tools, such as Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and student information systems.
- Familiarity with working with students, faculty, and academic program planning
- Good communication and problem-solving skills,, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, students, and external partners.
