Position Summary: We are seeking a curious, detail-oriented Data Intern to support our Data & Analytics team in turning data into actionable insights that drive business decisions. This is an excellent opportunity to apply academic knowledge in statistics, Information technology, computer science, or data engineering to real-world challenges, working alongside experienced professionals in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Minimum Qualifications: Education & Enrollment
- Actively enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0 (undergraduate and graduate).
- Knowledge, Skills & Competencies
- Analytical & Statistical Foundations
- Coursework in statistics, linear algebra, or data structures.
- Understanding of statistical analysis techniques such as hypothesis testing and regression.
- Familiarity with algorithms and their application in analyzing structured and unstructured data is a strong plus.
Technical Acumen
- Programming proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with PyTorch or similar libraries.
- Exposure to ETL concepts, database design, and data querying using SQL.
- Experience with data platforms such as Power BI, Microsoft Fabric/Synapse, or SSIS.
Data Communication & Visualization
- Ability to translate complex data sets into clear, compelling visualizations (charts, graphs, dashboards).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey data-driven insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Professional Attributes
- Meticulous attention to detail when working with large and complex data sets.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to explore and test multiple analytical approaches.
- Comfortable working independently as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Previous internship or academic projects involving data analytics, machine learning, or data engineering.
- Exposure to cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud) or version control tools like Git.
