Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking an experienced Senior SharePoint Architect to lead the design, development, integration, and administration of Microsoft SharePoint solutions across Microsoft 365 and on-premises environments. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic planning, and hands-on implementation to support enterprise collaboration, automation, and content management initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
- Architecture & Development: Design, implement, and optimize SharePoint architecture and custom solutions, including workflows, web parts, and Power Apps, using industry best practices.
- Administration & Support: Administer Microsoft 365 SharePoint Online and on-premises environments, including content management, permissions, and storage allocation.
- Integration & Automation: Integrate SharePoint with enterprise systems such as ServiceNow; automate tasks across SharePoint, Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Governance & Compliance: Enforce governance policies, monitor data loss prevention (DLP) and IRM settings, and support eDiscovery and usage reporting.
- Performance & Maintenance: Conduct performance tuning, troubleshoot issues, perform system upgrades, and maintain site hierarchies and term stores.
- Collaboration & End-User Support: Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements, ensure solution alignment with business needs, and provide support and training to users.
- Documentation & Quality Assurance: Maintain comprehensive documentation and ensure accuracy of user-facing content, configuration records, and architectural designs.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 10 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Industry certifications to include CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, and/or CCSP
- Proven experience in SharePoint architecture, development, and administration (Microsoft 365 and on-premises)
- Proficiency in Power Platform, SharePoint Framework (SPFx), and scripting tools (e.g., PowerShell)
- Strong understanding of ITSM integration (e.g., with ServiceNow), security, and compliance within enterprise environments
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills
