Senior Data Storage Administrator/Cloud Architect

Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead the planning, design, and implementation of secure and scalable cloud solutions in support of Department of Navy (DoN) initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with technical and business requirements, leveraging authorized platforms and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Architecture & Engineering: Design and support cloud-based solutions for data, voice, and video applications; recommend compliant technologies and components.
• Requirements Analysis: Gather, analyze, and translate technical and business requirements into cloud architectures and roadmaps.
• Cloud Strategy & Planning: Identify and assess DoN-authorized cloud offerings (e.g., NR&DE, DISA Cloud), and provide gap analysis and recommendations.
• Project Execution: Develop project scopes, schedules, and POA&Ms for short- and long-term cloud adoption strategies.
• Collaboration & Support: Engage with customers, infrastructure teams, and RMF accreditation personnel to facilitate cloud deployment and change management.
• Documentation & Governance: Prepare and review technical documentation, support change management processes, and define success criteria for cloud deployments.
• Compliance: Ensure all cloud initiatives align with DoD/DoN IT security and infrastructure requirements.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 7 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Industry certifications to include CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, and/or CCSP
• Proven experience in cloud architecture and migration strategies, especially within federal or defense environments.
• Strong understanding of DoD/DON cloud compliance frameworks and offerings.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
