Science Systems and Applications, Inc. (SSAI) is seeking a skilled and clearance-eligible Senior Software Developer to provide comprehensive support for mission-critical Navy information systems and applications for a potential contract opportunity. This role includes system maintenance, software development, cloud integration, and cybersecurity compliance in alignment with CMMI and IEEE standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and support enterprise systems including SharePoint Online, Office 365, PDI, and ServiceNow.
  • Design, develop, and enhance software applications and graphical user interfaces using modern development tools.
  • Work across cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, and OpenStack.
  • Conduct unit, integration, regression, and performance testing; automate and document testing processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Support CI/CD pipeline security and configuration management in compliance with CMMI Level 3.
  • Participate in code reviews, stakeholder meetings, and requirement definition sessions.
  • Ensure all software development aligns with DoD and Navy cybersecurity standards and operational goals.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and at least 10-15 years of directly related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Industry certifications to include CASP+CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, GCIH, and/or CCSP
  • Proficiency in high-level programming languages and IDEs (e.g., Visual Studio, Eclipse, NetBeans).
  • Experience with cloud-based environments, network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP), and secure software practices.
  • Familiarity with configuration/version control systems, Agile methodologies, and test automation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and use hands to touch, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk and hear and occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
