Location Site: Salem Hospital, 890 Oak Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301 Your role with us As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Salem Health, you are a vital part of our care team, delivering compassionate, hands-on support during some of the most vulnerable moments in a patient's life. You'll assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and collaborate closely with nurses and providers to ensure safe, personalized care. Your empathy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills help create a healing environment and build meaningful connections with patients and families. The 30-bed neuro trauma care unit (NTCU) serves patients with a wide variety of brain or nervous system disorders such as multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, brain tumors, traumatic brain injuries, meningitis, encephalitis, strokes and spinal injuries. In this unit, staff train in the National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS), swallow screen and spine immobilization. The NTCU is a proud recipient of the Joint Commission Primary Stroke Center (PSC) Certification and Joint Commission Spine Center of Excellence Certification and works very closely with our Stroke Navigator.
