Location: Position is remote with onsite requirements at all locations Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA Lowell General Hospital and Saints Campus in Lowell, MA Care at Home in Lowell, MA Corporate Office in Burlington, MA Job Overview The Manager, Talent Acquisition - Pre-boarding is instrumental in ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for new hires, reflecting Tufts Medicine's commitment to excellence and employee satisfaction. This role will lead a dedicated team of Pre-boarding Specialist and collaborate across departments to streamline processes, foster operational efficiency, and deliver outstanding onboarding experience. Job Description Minimum Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 2. Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources with preferred experience in talent acquisition and pre-boarding new employees. 3. Proven track record of success in process management and compliance. Preferred Qualifications: 1. Master's degree Human Resources, Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. 2. Seven (7) years of experience in Human Resources with specific experience in talent acquisition and pre-boarding new employees. 3. Two (2) years of supervisory experience, demonstrating strong leadership and team development 4. Experience within a healthcare or large-scale organization. 5. Workday experience Duties and Responsibilities: The duties and responsibilities listed below are intended to describe the general nature of work and are not intended to be an all-inclusive list. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned. 1. Leads and manages the pre-boarding team, providing direction, mentorship, and support to ensure consistent and high-quality service delivery. 2. Oversees daily operations of the pre-boarding process, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all pre-boarding tasks. 3. Develops and implements best practices for pre-boarding workflows, including background checks, employment verification, credentialing, and compliance documentation. 4. Identifies and addresses bottlenecks, driving continuous improvement initiatives with all stakeholders (HRIS, OHS, NEO, etc.). 5. Ensures adherence to all regulatory and organizational requirements throughout the pre-boarding phase. 6. Partners with Talent Acquisition, HR, and hiring managers to align pre-boarding efforts with organizational goals. 7. Serves as the primary point of contact for new hires, addressing inquiries and providing guidance throughout the pre-boarding period. 8. Works with internal and external vendors to ensure workflow optimization (i.e. background check, Workday, OHS, etc.) 9. Maintains accurate records and generate reports on pre-boarding metrics, including process completion rates and employee satisfaction levels. 10. Analyzes data to identify trends and recommend process enhancements. Physical Requirements: 1. Work environment: professional office environment, home office as needed, and/or online tele / video conference setting. 2. Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate, and exchange information. 3. Ability to work in a confined or open environment. 4. Ability to work independently or in a team environment. 5. Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment. 5. Strong strategic and creative thinking, with the ability to align preboarding efforts with overall business goals. 6. Proven ability to coach, develop and lead a team, driving performance and achieving results. 8. Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. 9. Job Profile Summary This role focuses on supporting the design, development, and implementation of human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, mobility, talent acquisition, diversity, talent management & organization development and employee/labor relations. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Talent Acquisition duties: Attracts, finds, and acquires skilled labor for organization needs including talent evaluation and screening (assessing skills, testing, ranking, reference checking, etc.), job advertising and posting internally and externally, including third party recruiting agencies, talent prospecting at employment fairs and on campus at educational institutions, talent staffing and planning, managing new employee induction process, and may be responsible for exit interviews. A management role that supervises employees focusing on tactical, operational activities within a specified area, with the majority of time spent overseeing area of responsibility, planning, prioritizing and/or directing the responsibilities of employees. Goal achievement is typically accomplished through performance of direct and/or indirect reports. A role that manages experienced professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments. Responsibilities typically include: policy and strategy implementation for short-term results (1 year or less), problems faced are difficult to moderately complex, and influences others outside of own job area regarding policies, practices and procedures.
