Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team at Superior Products Distributors, Inc. This role involves repairing and maintaining a variety of small engines, heavy construction equipment, and rental fleet assets. The successful candidate will work closely with the Branch Manager and Rental Manager to ensure the equipment is properly serviced, maintained, and ready for use, while also providing excellent customer service in the yard.

Responsibilities:

  • Report daily to the Branch Manager for assignments and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on small engine equipment and heavy construction machinery.
  • Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot engine issues; adjust or replace components as needed.
  • Reassemble equipment after service and maintain accurate records of all repair work.
  • Prep rental equipment by servicing, inspecting, tagging, and ensuring it's ready for use.
  • Provide in-yard customer support, including equipment instructions and answering maintenance questions.
  • Manage the breakdown list, ensuring equipment status is up-to-date and being addressed daily.
  • Order necessary parts to keep the rental fleet in peak working condition.
  • Collaborate with the Rental Manager to align maintenance operations with company policies.
  • Maintain a professional attitude, work well in a team, and follow all company safety procedures.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • At least 2 years' experience in a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of construction equipment and small engine repair.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean record.
