A top hospital is hiring in Mission Viejo, CA! Shift times below, please apply if you have at least 6 months of healthcare registration experience. Will be working within the ER department Description* 3 Openings: Emergency Room Clerk ($23) Start times: 4 day -10 hour shifts * 2 Evenings 5pm or 7pm start time * 1 midshift 1pm/2pm/3pm start times. Training is 2-3 weeks normal business hours 8:30-9:00am start to 4:30-5pm 30 min lunch NOTE: 1 of the evening positions will require someone who will take paperwork, scan them and input information accurately into the system. They understand consent forms and will be organized in uploading them into the MYCHART system. Weekends are Mandatory and this includes Holidays as this is a 24/7 operation at the hospital. Eager to learn is important for the best candidates. Someone who want's to grow and earn skills. Sociable and confident and a team player. Interact with nursing, physicians, patients, internal administration, EMT's, firefighters. Training-12 days-120 hours of department training-1 day of classroom training then they will be shadowing and then be shadowed by trainers. Position is very repetitive but the patients are different. If they don't have insurance go a different route. If they are out of state things are different but all the forms are the same. Typical work day-Exciting and chaotic. Fast paced---going to see a lot of different patients, always have patients waiting and going from one thing to the next. 10-11 registrars staffed for days. 5:30 to last shift at 8pm-have nursing and ultrasound, transport, emt's, ambulance firefighters. On your feet all day and must be aware of this. Fast paced and very independent position. Schedules are put out every Month on Wednesdays and must communicate any potential time off in advance of that. Additional Skills & Qualifications Push computers on wheels and on your feet in the ER. Someone that can maneuver the computer and be on their feet for long periods of times. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
