*AV Design Specialist (Mid-Level)* Hybrid - East Hartford, CT
Full-Time | AV Engineering Team Reports to: Sales Engineering Manager *About the Role* We're looking for a motivated AV Design Specialist with at least 1 year of hands-on experience designing AV systems for commercial spaces. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about AV technology and eager to grow their skills in a supportive, team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate brings a coachable mindset, a strong work ethic, and a desire to build a long-term career in AV system design. *Key Responsibilities* * Client Collaboration: Participate in early-stage discussions to understand client needs and project goals. * AV System Design: Assist in developing AV solutions for a variety of commercial spaces using platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Crestron, and Q-SYS. * Documentation Support: Help create system layouts and equipment lists (AutoCAD/Revit experience is welcome but not required). * Team Engagement: Work with architects, consultants, and project managers to ensure design feasibility and alignment. * Learning & Development: Embrace training opportunities, mentorship, and continuous learning to grow within the AV design field. * Project Support: Contribute to smooth transitions from design to implementation and support quality assurance efforts. *What We're Looking For* * 1+ years of experience designing AV systems for commercial spaces. * Familiarity with AV platforms like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Crestron, Q-SYS, etc. * Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-first attitude. * Ability to interpret AV schematics and technical documentation. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word). * A coachable mentality and a strong desire to learn and grow in the AV design space. * CTS certification is a plus (CTS-D or CTS-I preferred but not required). *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $40.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
