Graphic Design Internship
ROLE DESCRIPTION
The graphic design intern will work in conjunction with the Senior Graphic Designer to support design needs for all active proposal projects.
Role responsibilities include:
- Learn and understand the bid proposal process and the role of graphic design within
- Examine with the Senior Graphic Designer proposal design requirements, corporate design standards (Alstom and customer), visual identity (corporate and proposal) and other design subjects
- Develop graphics as directed by the Senior Graphic Designer. This will include, but not limited to:
- Organizational Charts
- Flowcharts
- Timelines
- Iconography
- Graphs
- Infographics
- Work with the Senior Graphic Designer, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and bid personnel to fulfill proposal graphic and imagery requests
- Handle any requests for changes and revisions sent by the Senior Graphic Designer, SMEs or proposal team
- Review proposal narratives for graphics to improve and update
- Look for opportunities to improve proposal visuals
- Work with the proposal team to finalize bids
- Develop a creative brief to be used for proposals (project)
- Perform other graphic design tasks as assigned
- Meet tight timelines
- Attend and participate in design and team touchpoints as well as proposal meetings
- Receive direction and instruction from, and provide status reports to, the Senior Graphic Designer
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent visual communications skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to meet tight timelines
- Enrolled in college/university/design school with a focus design, graphic design, industrial design, etc.
- Experience with Adobe tools (focus on Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Acrobat)
