Position Summary

Branch is searching for a motivated, organized HR Coordinator to join our well-established, growing company. The HR Coordinator is responsible for the administrative support of day-to-day human resource operations.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Primary contact for employee questions relating to: personal information changes, the employee portal, leave plans, etc.
  • Assists employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures and benefits.
  • Primary contact for onboarding and offboarding. Corresponds with hiring managers and new hires to complete paperless hiring process.
  • Partners with Talent to ensure all new or rehired employees are imported into the HRIS system. This includes the completion of E-Verify and background checks for all employees. New employees are entered into the HRIS system, background checked and E-verified within 24 hours of hire date.
  • Maintains the electronic personnel records of all employees (e.g. I-9, tax forms, completed job application, health and safety form, compensation letters, acknowledgements, and other job-related documents, etc.)
  • Oversees document tracking for verification of citizenship status within the onboarding module of the HRIS.
  • Supports benefits and wellness processes (i.e., processes gym reimbursements, sends wellness reminders and mails newly eligible benefit packets).
  • Responds to reference checks and verifications of employment status not handled by The Work Number verification service.
Duties/Responsibilities Cont.
  • Processes salary adjustment transactions in the HRIS system (COLA, merit, promotion, etc.).
  • Audits Paid Time Off plan alignment and balances quarterly.
  • Responds to all VEC requests, including partial employment, wage and separation information, fact finding, interview calls and appeals and refers cases with disciplinary concerns to the HRBPs appropriately.
  • Responds to DOL requests (Labor of Statistics Report, New Hire Report).
  • Provides employee information to managers/supervisors when requested (employee counts, department, class desc., etc.).
  • Performs quarterly internal I-9 audit.
  • Ensures former employees receive HR Exit Survey information.
  • Maintains high standards of confidentiality of all employee records and information.
  • Maintains and distributes all new hire kits to operating companies.

Service Orientation

  • Responds to employees' requests in a timely fashion, if appropriate.
  • Responsible for making sure that all requests for wage and unemployment information are completed.
  • Responds to requests for information from those outside of the company, if appropriate (e.g. verification of employment from a loan processor, if the employee signs the request.) Exercises professional judgement in determining what information she/he can and cannot give.
Qualifications
  • Education requirements include a high school diploma with at least 1 year HR experience.
  • Bachelors degree in HR or similar degree preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a very high degree of confidentiality and exercise good judgement for sensitive information.
  • Must thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills are required
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Suite.
  • Can manage multiple projects simultaneously to completion.
  • Willingness to be open to learning and growing

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. This is largely a sedentary role; however, there is a need for walking, carrying and lifting items up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time hourly position which will typically involve 40 hours a week, with occasional early starts or late quits as needed to meet critical deadlines.
