Position Title: Copywriter (Offers/Contextualized Messages Team)

Duration: 3 Months

Location: Hybrid (in-office 3 days/week minimum) - Bellevue, WA, Frisco, TX, Atlanta, GA, Herndon, VA, or Overland Park, KS

Working hours: Monday to Friday; Standard Business Hours

Department: Web & App Creative

Role Overview:

  • We need a Mid-Level Copywriter who can craft fast-turnaround, on-brand messaging for the web and app.
  • You'll be part of a small, Agile pod (4-5 people) within our Web & App Creative team, which ladders up to the larger organization.
  • The ideal candidate knows how to self-manage, fill in gaps, and adapt quickly.
  • We need individuals who are proactive, organized, and eager to help us shape and refine our emerging processes.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Write Engaging Copy: Develop clear, compelling copy for digital campaigns and communications that reflects the client's friendly, bold, and innovative brand persona. These messages will be delivered within our app and website as part of contextualized messages targeted to specific customer segments.
  • Agile Workflow Participation: Use Kanban boards and daily scrums to manage tasks, prioritize projects, and meet deadlines for rapid content deployment.
  • Collaborate in Figma: Provide input on copy directly within Figma files, working side-by-side with designers in real-time.
  • Proactive Collaboration: Engage daily with designers and other team members to clarify requirements, fill knowledge gaps, and ensure cohesive final deliverables.
  • Cross-train on other digital deliverables: Develop knowledge of the digital tactics for email, SMS, and other app placements.
  • Self-Starter Mindset: Identify missing details and proactively gather information to create effective copy, especially when briefs are still evolving.
  • Brand Consistency: Ensure all messaging aligns with the client's voice, energetic, customer-centric, and unafraid to stand out.
  • Asset Management & Organization: Leverage Adobe Workfront for project tracking, effectively manage copy assets, and maintain brand consistency across channels.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on best practices for digital copy, especially for web and app channels, and bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Cultural Ambassador: Embody client's "Un-carrier" ethos-loving our customers, loving our employees, and bringing positive energy to the team. Create an environment that's fun, dynamic, and forward-thinking.

  • Proactively seeking out information gaps and resolving them to minimize project delays.
  • Adding to a positive, can-do culture within a small, tight-knit Agile team.
  • Collaborating seamlessly within a small pod while also connecting with the broader teams and practice areas, Digital Business Management, CRM, Product Design, and Digital Operations.


Required Qualifications:

  • Experience: 3+ years in copywriting, with a focus on digital channels (email, SMS, push notifications, app content, etc.).
  • Agile Methodology: Comfortable with fast-paced sprints, Kanban boards, or scrum processes.
  • Portfolio: Demonstrates strong digital copywriting skills, including relevant samples of short-form campaigns.
  • Tool Proficiency: Expert with Microsoft Word, experience working in Figma or other collaborative design platforms. Experience with Microsoft Teams.
  • Team Player: Exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative setting.
  • Communication & Organization: Excellent written and verbal communication, plus the ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Telecommunications/Tech Background: Familiarity with the client's brand or experience working in similar industries.
  • Experience working with a content management system is a plus.
  • Workflow Management Tools: Familiarity with Adobe Workfront or other workflow software.
  • SEO & Digital Writing: Knowledge of best practices for email subject lines, push notifications, or SMS copy
  • Experience with a CMS: An understanding of how digital work is delivered via a content management system, with a focus on reusable (headless) content.
  • Bilingual in Spanish: Able to write in both English and Spanish, a plus.
