Position Overview: We are looking for a proactive and motivated Agrochemicals Sales Representative to support our agricultural/dispersants sales team. In this role, under guidance from the Ag Technical Account Manager, you will assist in promoting and selling a range of chemical additives to be used as a dispersant in the agrochemical industry. The ideal candidate will be passionate about supporting the agriculture market, eager to learn, and ready to build strong customer relationships in the field This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals beginning their sales career with a technical interest in specialty chemical products. How you will impact Ingevity:
  • Promote and sell agricultural specialty chemicals to customers and distributors
  • Learn and effectively present product features, technical specifications and application benefits
  • Educate customers on the benefits of Ingevity's products to improve their formulations and application in the agrochemical market
  • Conduct customer visits, support trials, and assist in product evaluations
  • Work closely with the Ag Technical Account Manager and technical support staff to meet customer needs
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships to build long-term business partnerships
  • Assist in preparing sales presentations, sales quotes, and responses to customers inquiries
  • Collect market intelligence and report on competitive activity, customer feedback, and market trends
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities, forecast and customer interactions using CRM and planning software
  • Attend industry trade shows, field days, and other promotional events
What you need to succeed:
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering, Plant Sciences, Business or a related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in agrochemicals or other specialty chemical sales
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Interest in the agriculture industry (crop production, chemical additives, and plant health technologies) or specialty chemicals industry
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and eager to take on new challenges.
  • High energy and someone who likes to take initiative
  • Ability to foster and manage customer relationships with a client-friendly personality
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM system (or ability to learn CRM tools).
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 70% within assigned sales territory
  • Internship or prior work experience in sales, specialty chemicals or agricultural inputs (e.g., fertilizers, pesticides, adjuvants) preferred
