Summary

The Processing Lead ensures daily efficiency of the process flow, ensuring product is made safely, within quality expectations, and with trained team members. Assist the Processing Supervisor by performing related duties as needed.

Schedule: 12H Rotation - 5am-530pm + OT

Responsibilities
  • Actively promote the culture of safety and understand there is no higher priority.
  • Become fully trained in most Operator role jobs throughout Processing and be prepared to cover gaps within staffing as skills allow if directed by your supervisor.
  • Remain heavily involved with training new and current employees while continuously working on improving their job skills.
  • Assist Operators with troubleshooting equipment issues & drive issues to resolution.
  • Assist in investigations of root causes and corrective/preventive actions for any process nonconformance issues.
  • Be involved with conducting both 5s and sanitary floor audits.
  • Thoroughly follow and implement all GMPs, GDPs, & any other company policies in place.
  • Review and sign off on necessary paperwork throughout your shift. Raise any problems with documentation to your supervisor.
  • Review and sign electronic silo charts - ensuring product silos are emptied and washed within the proper time, raw milk and cream product remains under 45 degrees, and all necessary items are annotated properly by the Operator.
  • Fill in for Processing Supervisor during their absence - assuming Supervisor responsibility which includes completing the daily shift report.
Requirements
  • Prior leadership experience preferred
  • Familiar with HACCAP and understanding our critical control point.
  • Proficient math skills and basic computer skills.
  • Great communication and leadership skills.
  • Planning and scheduling.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving.
  • Stand and walk for 12 hours, work in a loud environment, wear PPE, be able to bend and kneel, and lift 75 pounds.

Compensation Range:$28.50-$41.00, plus bonus.
