The IT Staff Auditor is an entry-level position responsible for assisting in audits of IT systems, cybersecurity controls, and data management processes. This role supports the evaluation of control design and operational effectiveness, prepares audit workpapers, and contributes to identifying potential risks and control gaps. As part of a collaborative audit team, the IT Staff Auditor provides objective assessments and detailed recommendations to help stakeholders effectively address IT, cyber, and data-related risks.
Position Responsibilities:
Assist IT Audits and Document Results


  • Assist in the audit of IT systems, cybersecurity controls, and data management processes by executing assigned tests, evaluating control effectiveness, analyzing root causes of issues, and developing draft recommendations.
  • Prepare clear and organized workpapers and evidence that support testing, findings, and conclusions, while delivering high-quality audit results within established timelines.


Audit Delivery and Time Management


  • Perform audit procedures efficiently to ensure timely completion of assigned tasks while adhering to quality standards.
  • Track individual progress, address challenges proactively, and achieve utilization and productivity goals.


Collaboration and Communication


  • Collaborate with audit team members and stakeholders to complete audit tasks, share knowledge, and contribute to Internal Audit department initiatives.
  • Foster and sustain constructive, professional relationships through effective communication, collaboration and mutual respect.


Continuous Learning and Development


  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp concepts and practice active listening to understand complex IT environments and risks.
  • Stay current on IT risks, cybersecurity threats, and regulatory changes, applying new knowledge to enhance audit performance.


Position Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree (preferably in Computer Science, Information Security, Cybersecurity, Business, Accounting or related field) from an accredited university
  • 1 year of experience in Basic IT Concepts. Foundational understanding of IT concepts and IT systems gained through coursework or practical experiences
  • 1 year of experience in Problem Solving. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, supported by prior experiences, internships, projects or coursework
  • 1 year of experience in Collaboration and Communication. Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to effectively convey information verbally and in writing, along with experience interacting with team members or stakeholders through internships, projects, or prior roles

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday, this position includes both onsite and remote work. Salary: To Be Determined Based on Individual Experience
