About the Department:

The Reva and Sid Dewberry Family School of Music's mission is to enable every student to find his or her best musical voice; prepare each to fulfill society's need for artistic and innovative musicians, scholars, music educators, and ambassadors for the arts; and graduate each with hope, confidence, and distinction.

About the Position:

The Adjunct Applied Classical Saxophone Professor will teach individualized lessons, starting August 25, 2025.

Responsibilities:



  • Teach Applied Classical Saxophone during daytime hours on campus;
  • Coach saxophone quartet (chamber ensemble);
  • Coordinate recruitment for the Classical Saxophone Studio;
  • Coordinate studio classes, recitals, performances, and juries for the Classical Saxophone Studio; and
  • Participate in the Woodwind Area initiatives, including performances, faculty recitals, auditions, etc.


Required Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree in Music required;
  • Successful experience teaching at the college level;
  • Desire to work with colleagues and students from diverse backgrounds; and
  • Established reputation as a Saxophonist including live performances and recordings.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Doctorate in Music preferred.
