Water Resources Field Engineering Associate
Overview NV5 is growing our Water Resources Team in Southern California with the addition of a Water Resources Field Engineering Associate. We are seeking a broadly experienced individual familiar with Municipal Stormwater/NPDES Permits, Monitoring, Reporting, and/or Municipal Jurisdictional/Watershed Management Programs, Engineering Assessments, Green Stormwater Infrastructure design and analysis. The ideal candidate will excel in performing fieldwork, troubleshooting water quality issues, and developing best management practices. Strength in Phase I Municipal Stormwater/NPDES Permit Compliance Programs is preferred, and/or experience with Phase II NPDES Permits, Industrial, and Construction Permits. Relative to the candidate's degree and/or number of years of experience, the ideal candidate will help develop, provide field support, and execute cutting-edge water quality monitoring and assessment projects and Jurisdictional compliance programs for NV5's Municipal clients. The selected candidate will work closely with professionals in water quality monitoring and assessment, hydrology, stormwater planning, and program management, as well as a broad range of scientists, GIS experts, engineers, and planners who are focused on solving complex water quality and regulatory issues. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop professional skills with a pathway to project management leadership, supporting key water quality, sediment, and stormwater compliance monitoring projects with a focus on California water quality regulations. Qualifications
The pay range for this position in California is $70,000 to $100,000 per year. Base pay offered may be higher or lower depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location of the candidate. Restricted stock units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
