Job Summary:

Responsible for enhancing, supporting, and maintaining applications within the Virtua Health System. Demonstrates subject matter expertise in solutions development and implementation. Additionally, responsible for understanding and documenting business needs as well as recommending appropriate IT solutions. Extensive knowledge of customer workflow, application software and building tools. Assistance with the optimization of the application through development of new functionality, testing and implementing scheduled vendor releases and system upgrades, and fixing system defects. Provide technical and functional application analysis, define system requirements, and work with Informatics in developing Visio models using best practices for build and configuration, maintenance and data integrity.

Utilizes best practices, creates education sessions to share technical knowledge and facilitates team meetings when requested by the team manager.

Demonstrate knowledge and adherence to cybersecurity and HIPAA policies and practices

Job Responsibilities:

Interprets and analyzes complicated workflow/system requirements to design, configure, test and implement IT application solutions while creating and maintaining all documentation for assigned applications in order to establish standards for configuration and enhancements within the application.Participates in performance improvement activities working closely with departments' Quality Assurance/Quality Control personnel to identify and design future needs and efficient workflow processes that include further integration into operations.

Provides day-to-day support of multiple IT applications including error management, maintenance and troubleshooting of IT systems including but not limited to application workflow, design and other related activities.

Maintains working knowledge and documentation of business processes, workflows and regulatory requirements.

Facilitates effective customer engagement through regular meetings, rounding, participation in IT initiatives, and communications regarding requirements, enhancements and priorities.

Develops detailed design specifications and builds application components based on customer needs. Analyzes new functionality in releases to determine how it should be used.

Works closely with other IT personnel, Virtua Clinical and Business Operations to ensure timely resolution of issues.

Performs work related to IT applications and associated systems; assists with development and implementation of procedures to support and maintain existing systems; responsible for testing disaster recovery plans for the Virtua environment. Collaborates with customers to develop and design complex future state business processes. Maintains maximum system performance using appropriate tools, methods and thresholds to monitor critical issues and takes corrective action to rectify and minimize system interruptions.

Leads troubleshooting and problem-solving support and acts as a technical resource to other IT staff.

Actively participates in system build, configuration, and testing events. Develops complex test plans and completes unit and integrated testing for supported applications.

Executing testing with 3rd party applications. Prepares required testing validation documentation and obtains review and necessary approvals for go-live

Provides guidance to junior staff with system upgrades, issue resolution and application development. Acts as a technical resource to other IT staff. Collaboratively works with vendors and IT partners to ensure on-going service and resolution of issues. Actively participates in system build, configuration, and testing events.

Reviews the team's Service Now ticket queues to ensure compliance problems, requests and incidents.

Position Qualifications Required:

Minimum 5 years of experience in Healthcare IT or related field.

Business, Revenue Cycle, Financial or clinical specialty experience is highly preferred.

Must be knowledgeable regarding the business of health care, the flows of information and emerging technologies. Must be able to function with minimal supervision and as part of a team.

Experience leading and overseeing projects and upgrades preferred.

Proficient with MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, Visio, MS Teams, and PowerPoint, and Service Now.

Excellent facilitation and communication skills.

Required Education:

B.A./B.S. in Information Systems or related field required. (Relevant years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)

Training/Certifications/Licensure:

Expertise and certification required in multiple IT applications. Other certifications may be requested as needed by Virtua.If IT certification, such as Epic certification, is required at time of hire, employee must obtain up-to-date certification in designated application(s) within 6 months of employment.

Annual Salary: $86,960 - $138,844 The actual salary/rate will vary based on applicant's experience as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
