About the Position The Programmer Analyst Senior / Lead is part of an application development team that creates applications, services, databases and websites based on business requirements from internal customers. This position is responsible for actioning on the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which spans creating concepts, user interface designs, backend infrastructure and architecture, development and testing of code, and security mediation. Good communication and organizational skills are required to integrate with the operational aspects of an assigned department. Engaging with third party vendors and using modern and emerging technologies to create unique concepts and capabilities is a key component for the success of any candidate in this position. We Require
Four years of related experience in full-stack application development, database administration, Microsoft DevOps or a combination of other qualified technologies Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basis Must successfully complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Certification Must be eligible to vote in Arizona
Job Contributions
Design, develop, and implement complex backend applications that serve as the foundation for other systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security. Integrate backend functionalities with front-end applications and databases while continuously maintaining and enhancing existing systems by refactoring legacy code, improving performance, and resolving issues Design and develop user-friendly, responsive web applications using Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript. Translate UI/UX designs into high-performance applications while ensuring cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness. Collaborate with stakeholders to implement features that align with business needs and enhance user experience Research emerging technologies and best practices to improve application development efficiency. Evaluate and integrate third-party tools and frameworks, and develop proof-of-concept applications to test new solutions Maintain and enhance existing applications in C#, Java, and VB.Net by troubleshooting issues, modernizing legacy code, and optimizing performance to improve functionality and user experience. Participate in meetings with supervisors, business analysts, and stakeholders to gather and refine business requirements. Provide expert recommendations on system capabilities, development feasibility, and process improvements. Work in an iterative development process to ensure applications align with business objectives. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level developers on complex development concepts. Conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices, security standards, and maintainability. Offer hands on assistance through pair programming and collaborative problem-solving sessions to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.
