Position description

The Department of Radiology at the University of California, Davis School of Medicine is growing, and we are actively recruiting for Specialty and Subspecialty faculty members within the Divisions of Abdominal Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Musculoskeletal Radiology, and Neuroradiology in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor (HSCP)/Clinical Professor (Clin X) series at the Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank (commensurate with experience and credentials).

Faculty in the Clinical X series are expected to engage in professional competence and activity, teaching, research and creative work, and University/public service.

Faculty in the Health Sciences Clinical Professor series are expected to engage in teaching, professional competence and activity, scholarly or creative activities, and University/public service.

Proposed candidates will be involved in clinical service activities that are based on their training and may include CT, MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and plain films. Additional expectations may include, but are not limited to, participation in multidisciplinary meetings based on subspecialty training and weekend call rotation within the following areas: Neuroradiology, Musculoskeletal Radiology, Cardiothoracic, or Abdominal Imaging. The department has state-of-the-art equipment, including clinical 3T and 1.5T MRI scanners and the EXPLORER Total Body PET Scanner, the first scanner of its kind in the United States, designed to be the world's highest sensitivity PET scanner.

Candidates must possess:

* M.D., D.O., or equivalent degree

* Board certified or board eligible in Radiology

* Postgraduate training, including fellowship or work experience, in one of the following subspecialties: Abdominal Imaging, Cardiothoracic Imaging, Musculoskeletal Radiology, or Neuroradiology.

* CA Medical License or eligible for licensure in the state of California
