DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this professional administrative position, you will be responsible for adhering to all Consolidated Community Living and Person/Family Directed Support (PFDS) guidelines and timeframes. Work includes implementing new ODP policies and procedures relating to the Intellectual Disability Waiver Program; authorizing and reviewing utilization of Individual Support Plans; and monitoring and maintaining individual files to meet State Regulations. Effective communication skills are essential as you will attend meetings with individuals, service providers, and families, to resolve conflicts, coordinate programs, and explain the qualifications for different waiver programs and services. You will be expected to attend meetings or phone conferences with Supports Coordinators and SC Supervisors to explain program changes and expectations. You will have the opportunity to provide technical assistance to contract providers and other stakeholders concerning billing issues, Bulletins, Memos, Announcements, ISP Manual and Service Definitions, and other Waiver Policies, Regulations, and forms.

Additional duties to include but not limited to:

  • Preparing for and participating in the Annual AE Oversight, Provider Monitoring Process, and county lead investigations
  • Completing additional correspondence, studies, reports, projects, or meetings as assigned by supervisor
  • Attending ODP required and non-required trainings and webinars

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, after the completion of the probationary period. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Kittanning.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of professional experience in the field of intellectual disabilities, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Legal Requirements:

  • You must pass a background investigation.
  • This position falls under the provisions of the Child Protective Services Law.
    • Under the Law, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports including, but not limited to, PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
