JOB PURPOSE

A Test Stand Technician is responsible for the functionality testing of each HVAC Make-up Air units prior to shipment to the customer to validate that the unit meets required customer and engineering specifications.

KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up each unit for testing.
• Must be able to follow established procedures and be willing to offer improvement suggestions.
• Ability to read and understand electrical and assembly prints.
• Ability to use standard electrical tools.
• Experience with test equipment to gather data a plus (RPM, Fan Balancing, Multimeter)
• Ability to use standard plumbing tools.
• Review necessary information (Order Write-Up, Sequence of Operation, unit prints, picker/BOM) so that units are tested and built per written specifications.
• Complete necessary test stand paper work.
• Ability to work with natural gas/propane safely.
• Ability to work with 575 VAC and below electricity.
• Trouble shoot electrical, design, and assembly issues and offer corrections as needed.
• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Must interact in a professional manner with others.
• Ability to test field returns for failure evaluations.
• Overtime may be required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Comfortable with ladders up to 12 ft.
• Comfortable with confined spaces.
• HVAC experience is a plus.

The ideal person for this position will have an easy going personality with good underlying work ethic. They must communicate and work well with others from a variety of different departments.
