Job Summary: The Marketing Coordinator I oversees marketing, promotion, and publicity functions for a department, college, or division under general supervision. Creates and implements marketing strategies using advertising, media, direct mail, etc. Coordinates production of materials specified in marketing plans and calendars. Consults with product and/or program development. Additional Department Summary: Works within Strategic Communications to support the division's contribution to the University's strategic plan. Provides tactical marketing support, including, but not limited to, copywriting, digital campaign reporting, and using data visualization tools. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and some marketing, public relations, communications, or advertising experience. Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications: Only applications that include a portfolio of projects or samples of work will be considered. Skills and Knowledge: Copywriting, editing, and proofreading skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Fluency with business computer use and industry relevant applications. Experience with managing social media and reporting outcomes. Experience effectively producing content, editing, and proofreading. Experience with working as part of a team and meeting deadlines. Knowledge of professional writing styles; must be able to master AP and UA Editorial Style. Demonstrate a strong competence in writing, editing, and proofreading by presenting a portfolio of samples. Experience with creating high-quality content, creating marketing strategies, and executing e-mail campaigns. Familiarity with coordinating documentation for payments, managing corporate social media identities, and web content management. Proficiency with industry tools like Google Analytics, LookerStudio, CRMs, Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
