Job Description:

We're looking for a detail-driven and compassionate Benefits & Leave Administrator to join our HR team. In this critical role, you'll help employees navigate life's key moments-whether welcoming a new child, facing a medical challenge, or planning for retirement-by managing leave and benefit programs that support their wellbeing.

What You'll Do:

  • Administer a wide range of leave programs (FMLA, ADA, parental, military, personal, etc.) in compliance with federal/provincial law and company policy.

  • Manage U.S. and Canadian employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, FSA/HSA, and 401(k).

  • Own and optimize Workday functionality for benefits and leaves; partner with HRIS to ensure accuracy and streamline processes.

  • Support annual open enrollment: testing, communications, data audits, and employee support.

  • Act as a trusted liaison between employees and benefit vendors to resolve questions and issues.

  • Maintain accurate HRIS records and ensure compliance with ERISA, ACA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other regulations.

  • Analyze and report on leave and benefits trends to support strategic decisions.

  • Educate managers and employees on benefit offerings and leave processes.

  • Assist with internal/external audits and conduct regular benefits reconciliations.

  • Provide day-to-day support and serve as backup to fellow benefits team members.

What You'll Bring:

  • 2-5 years of experience in benefits and/or leave administration.

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).

  • In-depth understanding of employment and benefits laws (FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, COBRA, etc.).

  • Workday experience required; AbsenceSoft knowledge a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and a compliance-oriented mindset.

  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential employee information.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
