As a Mortgage Assistance Officer, you'll be the go-to expert who helps customers get back on track while protecting the Bank's portfolio. It's finance, strategy, and heart-all rolled into one impactful role.

What You'll Do (Besides Save the Day)

• Take charge of a portfolio of in-house and serviced consumer mortgage loans

• Make the first call-and the right call-when loans go delinquent

• Build solutions, not roadblocks: Create personalized payment arrangements and workouts

• Be a master communicator: phone calls, emails, letters, and face-to-face chats

• Analyze financials like a pro and recommend the best course of action

• Help oversee the foreclosure and recovery process (when all else fails)

• Team up with vendors to protect and recover collateral

• Become a trusted mentor to new team members and share your wisdom

• Monitor OREO properties like a boss-utilities, preservation, inspections and more

• Follow federal and state collection procedures like it's second nature

• Keep meticulous records and make the Core system shine

What We're Looking For

• Education: Bachelor's in Finance, Accounting or related field-or equivalent experience (military experience welcome!)

• Experience: 3+ years in collections, lending, commercial law, or loan documentation

• Knowledge:

  • Bankruptcy Code (Chapters 7, 11, 13)

  • Credit and collection strategy

  • Real estate loan docs & security perfection

• Communication: You're clear, calm, and credible-even under pressure

• Problem-Solving: You make tough calls and smart decisions with confidence

• Tech Skills: Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
