Join Our Mission
The TFCO Foster Parent Recruiter is responsible for identifying, training, and certifying eligible families to foster for TFCO youth placement. Additionally, the Recruiter provides presentations to, and forges community partnerships with, organizations that interface with the Child Welfare system. The Foster Parent Recruiter meets regularly with community stakeholders providing an overview of the program to solicit foster parent referrals. The Foster Parent Recruiter maintains a collaborative working relationship with relevant local agencies.

Job Responsibilities
Works with Team Leader to anticipate foster parent recruitment needs.
Selects method of advertising, prepares and places recruitment ads.
Identifies referral sources and performs outreach.
Recruits, trains, and facilitates certification of foster parents.
Conducts initial and follow-up training of foster parents.
Serves as resource and trouble shooter to foster families, maintains motivation and treatment participation of foster parents, and ensures good working relationship with foster parents.
Conducts structured telephone interviews with foster parents on program youth behaviors and foster family stress (PDR (Parent Daily Report)), daily (5 days/week).
Provides PDR data to team leader and program staff.
May assist the Team Leader with organizing and attending weekly foster parent meetings.
Attends weekly clinical team meetings.
Prepares and provides public speaking presentations
Research and forges partnerships with community agencies
Connects with referred foster parents by phone, email, and/or text:
Explains program details and benefits
Fields questions about the program
Completes intake questionnaire
Accurately records and inputs information
Maintains spreadsheets for tracking outreach efforts and completed intakes
Takes part in regular calls with DHS recruitment Liaison.
Job Requirements
Experience in Child Welfare preferred.
Experience in a Social Service field preferred.
Experience providing outreach and presentations preferred.
Experience building coalitions preferred.
Spanish language proficiency preferred.
Experience in trauma-informed practices, adult education, and/or peer support groups
Minimum High School diploma/GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
Minimum 1 year work experience preferred.
One - two years of office/administrative experience
Public speaking ability
Demonstrated competence with Excel, Microsoft Word, and web-based applications
Cultural competence and humility
Must have a Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving history to the Agency, and a reliable vehicle.Travel is required. Ability to coordinate and plan travel for visits and appointments in efficient manner.
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day, evening, and weekend.
