Position Purpose
With guidance from undergraduate education leadership and in partnership with staff and faculty colleagues, plans and executes a world-class participant experience for in-person, virtual, and hybrid undergraduate education programs.
Description
Alongside its outstanding MBA program, Tuck offers a correspondingly distinctive portfolio of business education programs for undergraduates. The program experience team within Tuck Undergraduate Education is at the center of logistical, administrative, and student service needs for our programs, ensuring that programs operate smoothly and at a high execution standard, creating a personal, connected, and transformative experience for participants.
As program manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring and executing seamless preparation and delivery for our programs. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will contribute to the overall success of our undergraduate education initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in program and event management, excellent organization and communication skills, and the ability to work at a high operational tempo.

Required Qualifications - Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Experience and skill planning and producing professional, multi-day conferences, speaking engagements, education and training programs, and/or other events.
  • Experience and skill working within complex administrative process workflows and projects using digital tools for a high performing professional services team serving diverse internal and external constituencies.
  • Strong project management and planning skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively at a high operational tempo.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail

  • Ability to foster positive relationships with student participants, guests, faculty members, and other stakeholders.
  • Proven experience in coordinating logistics and supporting large scale and/or complex events.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in liberal arts, business, or event management/hospitality and/or relevant work experience.
  • Able to support, contribute to, and strengthen a vibrant, culturally diverse, and inclusive learning community of program participants and alumni, faculty, and fellow colleagues.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications, and ability to learn new digital tools as required by program needs.
  • Willingness to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays to facilitate programs while in session, and travel domestically as program needs require. This is primarily an on-campus position with some remote flexibility during non-program weeks possible.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience planning events and programs within undergraduate education, corporate training, or experiential learning programs.
  • Experience with project management and/or learning management systems (e.g., Canvas)

Key Accountabilities


Description
1. Program Preparation and Planning:

  • Manages logistical aspects of assigned undergraduate education programs, including venue selection, accommodations, catering, facilities, A/V and IT needs, materials, and staffing, ensuring seamless execution of all logistical arrangements before, during, and after each program.
  • Collaborate with internal and external providers to secure necessary resources and services for program delivery and works closely with undergraduate education team and faculty colleagues to develop the program schedule and prepare classroom content.
  • Prepare and distribute program materials, participant communications, pre-program information, and post-program evaluations, in digital and physical formats, and maintain accurate participant records through use of digital tools.

  • In consultation with program experience colleagues, Coordinates and supports a professional, well-organized, and high-quality program experience that meets the same high level as the program content.
  • Communicate effectively with internal colleagues and partners to relay program details and requirements.
  • Provide logistical support and serve as a primary point of contact for program participants, faculty, and facilitators throughout program delivery experience, exhibiting a high level of poise and professionalism.
  • Anticipate questions, needs, and issues and address them proactively to ensure a positive participant experience, seeking guidance from undergraduate education team as needed.

3. Team Collaboration and Innovation:

  • Collaborate with program experience colleagues to contribute to the development and execution of strategic initiatives that enhance the overall success of the undergraduate education programs.
  • Support shared departmental functions such as service provider relationships, invoice processing, and process improvements.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on industry trends and program evaluations.
