Genesis10 is currently seeking an Application Programmer with our client in the financial industry located in Charlotte, NC. This is a 12+ month contract position. Responsibilities: Meet the demands of growing applications Continue to build the application expertise in house and help with application support, business continuity, problem and incident management, and manage customer service relationships SME for these applications, and has the knowledge required to provide the support we need Day to day task requires the ability to solve production outages or other major business impacting issues under tight deadlines, which may include defining root cause and problem resolution follow-up Perform production support tasks including performance monitoring, proactive system health checks, manage application patching, perform disaster recovery exercises, and application access reviews as needed Work closely with the Line Of Business and development team to identify ongoing problems, suggest solutions, and implement improvements Review upcoming projects/deliverables with the development team on a regular basis Requirements: Application Production support role with experience in production support with strong, in-depth knowledge in UNIX, Oracle PLSQL, Autosys, Informatica and monitoring tools Experience working with .Net applications, Autosys, Bladelogic, Windows, and Linux platforms Experience with Database systems (Oracle SQL Server) Experience in triaging production issues and identifying root cause and corrective actions Experience with ITSM Remedy (Change Management, Incident Management, Problem management, and Request Management) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Positive attitude and capable of remaining calm when under pressure Great attention to detail Excellent team player Familiarity with application monitoring tools like Dynatrace and ITRS Geneos Basic scripting skills (PowerShell) Understanding of application lifecycle and familiarity with infrastructure projects Desired skills: Familiarity with Axiom Regulatory Reporting tool Pay Range: $55.06-$63.06 Only candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
