Senior PCB Repair Maintenance Engineer

Department Overview: Reporting to the system development manager, we are looking for someone who is well-experienced in high-precision soldering, repair, and rework on fine-pitch BGA on PCBA. This person should have hands-on experience with the chassis system assembly process and wiring skills. He/she will be working closely with Hardware/Mechanical system designers during NPI development and support QC for mass production alternate source qualification.

Responsibilities:

While this is an individual contributor role, you'll be involved in many aspects- reworking multi-layer PCBA with many fine-pitch components, complex multiple board systems and variation heatsink thermal solution. He/she is required to maintain the hardware lab and rework station in working order as an ISO requirement.

Job Experience Required:

• Must have 10+ years' PCBA rework experience on complex boards with many fine-pitch components and precision rework down to 0201 package.
• Comfortable reading schematic, layout file, and BOMs to perform debug/bring-up support.
• Ability to assemble/disassemble the system to perform the PCBA rework process.
• Familiarity with AC and DC power sources.
• Skilled in using hand tools and machine shop tools to perform parts modification.
• Knowledge of essential hardware lab safety rules.
• Support to maintain the hardware lab and workstation in working condition.
• Good verbal & written communication skills with cross-functional teams.
• Efficient self-starter, positive attitude, detail-oriented, Team player, organized and responsible.

Education Requirement:
Must have a B.S.E.E or equivalent

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000-$130,000. Fortinet offers employees a variety of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time as well as a comprehensive leave program.

Wage ranges are based on various factors, including the labour market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
