There is a postdoc position available in Dr. Alison Bernstein's lab in the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences Institute (
EOHSI)/Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University. This position is funded by grants from the National Institute of Environmental Health (
NIEHS) and National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (
NINDS). Dr. Bernstein's research focuses on the role of epigenetics and the environment in the etiology of sporadic Parkinson's disease.
The candidate will focus on 1-2 of the following projects: (1) epigenetic analysis in a mouse models of Parkinson's disease related exposures, (2) elucidating molecular mechanisms of pesticide-induced changes in
DNA methylation in a 3D neurosphere model
in vitro, and (3) characterizing mechanisms underlying synaptic deficits in an
in vivo two-hit exposure model of Parkinson's disease.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience |
Qualified candidates are required to have a PhD or an equivalent doctoral degree and experience in neuroscience, neurotoxicology, epigenetics, or other relevant field. |
