Location Site: Salem Hospital, 890 Oak Street SE, Salem, Oregon 97301 Your role with us As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Salem Health, you play a vital role in delivering compassionate, hands-on care during some of the most vulnerable moments in a patient's life. You'll assist with daily living activities, monitor vital signs, and collaborate closely with nurses and providers to ensure safe, personalized care. Your empathy, attention to detail, and strong communication skills help create a healing environment and build meaningful connections with patients and families. The medical surgical oncology unit at Salem Health consists of 30-beds and cares for medical surgical oncology patients. CNAs in this unit will have the opportunity to learn how to help patients and families navigate all stages of their cancer diagnosis, including end-of-life. The services of Salem Health Cancer Institute and Salem Health's Palliative Care team integrate with this unit to create a holistic approach to the care of oncology patients throughout the entire course of their cancer treatment.
