Ocean Spray is hiring for a(n) Performance Excellence Analyst! We're a team of farmers, thinkers, creators, and doers. Whatever your title, whatever your role - it always comes back to this: we're a farmer-owned co-op where everyone rolls up their sleeves to get the job done. Three maverick farmers started it all - and we've been making our own way ever since. The Performance Excellence (PE) Analyst will be proactive, data-driven, and capable of influencing without direct authority. They will have a basic understanding of Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and experience in continuous improvement projects. Key responsibilities include contributing to the Agricultural Operations Performance Excellence program, planning and leading continuous improvement activities, analyzing data for process improvements, and supporting training programs. The PE Analyst will also partner with team members to execute cost-saving projects and ensure best practices are shared across the network.

A Day in the Life...

  • Contribute to the Agricultural Operations Performance Excellence program, build standards and expectations, and drive implementation of continuous improvement projects throughout the fruit receiving network.
  • Plan continuous improvement activities, assess processes, analyze results, and report out to team members and leadership.
  • Utilize data driven problem-solving approach to scope and lead PE projects to reduce operational costs and sources of waste.
  • Seek out new methodologies and opportunities for simplicity to increase process efficiency.
  • Analyze fruit receiving data to find insights into new opportunities for process improvement.
  • Contribute towards building and delivering training programs and activities following Lean, Six Sigma, and other CI methodologies.
  • Partner with Agricultural Operations team members to execute continuous improvement efforts and support cost savings project pipeline brainstorming.
  • Lead efforts in change management for continuous improvement efforts.
  • Ensure best practices are shared and implemented across the receiving network.

What We Are Looking For:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree required in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Operations Management.
  • 1+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing and/or CI-focused roles.
  • Self-starter with a high degree of energy and passion; ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with others at a high level, both verbally and in writing. The ability to simplify and communicate broadly at all levels is a must - as is the willingness to work with and train others
  • Successful experience applying Lean and Six Sigma tools to get results (value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, Error proofing, SMED, team problem solving, etc.)
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio and Outlook.

Preferred

  • 1-3 years of experience as a part of cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Knowledge of facilitation and organizational change management
  • Food manufacturing experience

Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)
