We are seeking a Senior Tax & Treasury Manager to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.

Job Summary

The Senior Tax and Treasury Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing the organization's global tax strategy and policies. The role will ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations and manage the global tax provision process. This role will manage and facilitate the preparation and filing of our company's state and federal tax forms. This role will ensure compliance with state federal and international tax law. This role monitors current and impending changes to tax regulations and make the appropriate updates to policies and strategies. This role will be focused on ensuring compliance with tax laws while optimizing tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities. This role will also manage treasury operations, including banking, cash management, and capital markets activities.

Duties and Responsibilities

Tax Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file global tax returns (income tax, sales tax, GST/HST, VAT, property tax, etc.) and ensure accurate financial statement reporting, including tax provisions and effective tax rates.
  • Manage and support tax audits, inquiries, and investigations by tax authorities.
  • Advise on tax implications of business decisions, upcoming tax regulation changes, and strategies to minimize tax risks in transactions like mergers and acquisitions.
  • Forecasting & Projections: Review tax returns and projections to provide guidance on effective future tax rates and cash tax forecasting.
  • Develop and execute domestic and international tax strategies, including transfer pricing policies and documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for improving tax processes and ensure accurate reflection of tax accounts in financial records.
  • Oversee third-party tax service providers, manage internal resources, and lead R&D tax credit study preparation.

Treasury Duties and Responsibilities

  • Optimize cash management strategies to maximize returns.
  • Evaluate and execute capital markets opportunities as appropriate.
  • Implement and maintain foreign exchange risk management strategies.
  • Maintain and establish banking relationships, as appropriate.
  • Develop and execute cash flow forecasting to support corporate finance activities.
  • Support merger & acquisition transactions from a tax and financing perspective, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned and required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree required; CPA and other advanced credentials preferred (e.g. Masters in Taxation and/or MBA).
  • 6-9+ years of corporate tax experience (4-5+ years public accounting and 3-5+ years industry).
  • Demonstrated knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance and all types of tax returns; a mix of public accounting and industry experience is desired.
  • International tax experience is required.
  • Software or other technology industry experience preferred.
  • Experience with Salesforce, Netsuite, and sales tax software (e.g. Avalara) strongly desired.
  • Treasury experience preferred (bank relationship management, investment management, capital markets, foreign exchange risk management)
  • Exceptional written, oral, and presentation communication skills with solid attention to detail and accuracy.

This position offers a total compensation range of $185,000.00 to $200,000.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
