Job Description Position: Plant Manager Primary Location: Toledo and Detroit Shift: Salaried - Monday to Friday - 40 hours/week; Overtime needed as per business needs and training objectives. Reports to: Regional Manufacturing Manager Compensation: $110,000 - $120,000 + Benefits The US salary for this position is $110,000 - $120,000 + benefits. Salaried rates are determined by role, level, and location. The salaried rate displayed on each job posting reflects the starting rate for new hires for the position. Rates may also be determined by work location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. More specific rate factors for your preferred location can be discussed during the hiring process, as some facilities are subject to Collective Bargaining Agreements. Please note that the compensation details listed in the US roles postings reflect the hourly rate only, and do not include benefits, pension contributions or additional incentives such as overtime and shift premiums. About this Role and About You This individual manages all aspects of operations at the facility. The plant manager ensures the safe operation of the facility, ensures environmental compliance, is accountable for achievement of plant performance objectives and product quality, and monitors plant expenditures and budget. The incumbent will oversee some activities (i.e. manufacturing, maintenance) with his direct reports and will manage/direct others (i.e. quality, EHS, engineers) in coordination with the site Quality Manager, EHS supervisor and Engineering group representative. He/she will also ensure the satisfaction of customers by delivering product on time (working directly or indirectly with Logistics and Customer Service department). The incumbent is also responsible for managing the site CAPEX program. This is the top management position at the facility. Key Responsibilities
Actively manage sites' day-to-day activities in the production of safe, quality products. 55% o Performs hands on operator and maintenance duties as required - e.g. making batches, loading trucks, repair of equipment, etc. o Provides motivation, guidance and direction in all plant activities. o Approves plant expenditures. o Maintains sites housekeeping standards and supports 6S initiatives. o Assures product quality meets customers' requirements o Assures product deliveries meets customers' requirements o Assists at other plant locations when possible o Provides technical support for customers as required o Ensures proper staffing of the plant. o Focus on Continuous Improvement activities/projects to support value-addition and cost reductions.
