POSITION SUMMARY:



  • The District Manager, Stores reports to the President, Chef Toys
  • Located in Fountain Valley, CA

The District Manager for Chefs Toys will be responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple retail stores within a designated geographical area. With extensive experience, the Area Manager will provide strategic leadership, direction, and support to store managers, ensuring alignment with company policies, standards, and objectives. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive retail management experience, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving results in a multi-store environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Store Operations Management:



  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple retail stores, including sales performance, customer service, inventory management, and store maintenance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and standards across all stores within the area.


Team Leadership and Development:



  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to store managers and store teams, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Recruit, train, and develop store managers and store associates to drive performance and achieve sales targets.


Performance Monitoring and Analysis:



  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) related to sales, profitability, inventory turnover, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop action plans to address performance gaps and drive continuous improvement across all stores within the area.


Visual Merchandising and Marketing:



  • Oversee the implementation of visual merchandising standards and promotional activities to optimize store presentation and drive sales.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to develop and execute local marketing initiatives and promotional campaigns.


Inventory Management and Loss Prevention:



  • Ensure accurate and efficient inventory management processes, including stock replenishment, cycle counts, and shrinkage reduction strategies.
  • Implement and enforce loss prevention measures and security protocols to protect store assets and minimize inventory shrinkage.



COMPETENCIES:



  • Extensive experience in retail management, with a proven track record of success in managing multiple stores and driving sales growth.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop store teams to achieve results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions to optimize store performance.
  • Proficiency in retail operations, including store operations management, inventory control, and customer service.



QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:



  • 8 - 12 years of experience in retail management, with a minimum of 3-5 years in a multi-store leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising principles, and customer service best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic retail environment.
  • Willingness to travel within the designated area as needed.
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.

The range provided represents the national average pay range for this position and is considered to be a general guideline. Pay for this position will reflect the candidate's unique qualifications and may be higher or lower than the range provided based on employee geographic location. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other local, state, and federal law.

In addition to base salary, this role will be eligible for participation in TriMark's' benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, 401K (with employer match), etc. Leadership positions may also qualify for participation in bonus programs commensurate with role and scope of responsibility.
