Position Summary


You will work in a highly dynamic global team and will develop, implement, and operate the worldwide infrastructure for White and Case. Your expertise in design decisions will enable the team to be more efficient through automation development. You will provide guidance towards a uniform best practice approach for technology design and implementation using Cloud technologies.

You will share the responsibility for aligning and integrating the global infrastructure technology and methods within the Firm's complete technology portfolio, particularly around the integration of applications, services, and infrastructure.


Our Global Technology Services Team


Technology at White & Case plays a key role in enabling our lawyers to practice law around the world.

Our team comprises of three functions: Business Services - who maintain, develop and support our enterprise systems, Operations - who design, build and support our communications and data centre operations, and Support Services - who provide desktop, meeting and training support in the Firm's offices. Together we support our lawyers with leading edge technology and systems to deliver elite legal and best-in-class client service.

Globally minded and diverse, our team covers a range of technical disciplines and business skill sets. This encompasses business analysts, data architects, application developers and engineering staff covering a range of technologies that include virtualization, cloud, networking, storage, collaboration services and security. We deploy the latest technology and hardware within our state-of-the-art offices. Our technical support staff support and train our people in the latest hardware and operating systems, remote working capability and mobile devices. Our Shared Services centres provide Service Desk and Operation Centres that providing support and monitoring of Firm systems 24 x 7.

Working closely with our business services colleagues in support of the Firm's Finance, HR, Marketing and Knowledge Information Technology systems, Global Technology Services is at the heart of the Firm's global operations.


Duties and Accountabilities



  • Work within a team focused on infrastructure automation and efficiency, following the principles of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
  • Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure across both AWS and Azure, ensuring consistent governance, scalability, and security posture
  • Collaborate with application teams to assess and enhance cloud readiness, facilitating smooth deployment and operations in Azure and AWS
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the deployment and testing of infrastructure and applications using GitLab or similar platforms.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts that integrate cloud services with enterprise tools such as CyberArk, Duo, and other identity or security platforms
  • Write Terraform code to deploy infrastructure as code, following community and internal best practices
  • Create Ansible playbooks and workflows to automate infrastructure and business processes
  • Architect cloud infrastructure solutions with an emphasis on security, reliability, and usability
  • Review code contributions from team members in GitLab, providing constructive feedback and suggestions
  • Collaborate on or lead initiatives involving the integration and management of complex datacenter environments composed of multiple vendors and platforms; provide technical leadership and guidance in these areas


Qualifications


  • Experience architecting Azure infrastructure from concept to deployment using IAC
  • Experience architecting AWS infrastructure from concept to deployment using IAC
  • Experience writing reusable terraform modules (Azure related modules are a plus)
  • Intermediate proficiency in Python for scripting and automation tasks
  • Hands-on experience managing infrastructure in both Azure and AWS, including tenant configuration and governance.
  • Experience writing Ansible playbooks and familiarity with Ansible tower or AWX a plus
  • Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or similar tools to support infrastructure and application delivery
  • Experience with Docker and containerized workloads; Kubernetes experience is highly preferred
  • Strong background in application and infrastructure design, with demonstrated conceptual thinking
  • Professional experience in working effectively with business stakeholders, project managers, technology teams and end users in a cross-cultural environment
  • Possess effective communication skills and has extensive experience with facilitating regular touchpoint calls/meetings/Teams sessions
  • Self-motivator, independent, cooperative, flexible, and creative
  • Ability to travel or work overtime, as needed
  • Fluency in English
  • International experience a plus


    Location and Reporting


    • This is a Technology Applications role currently based in Tampa, with potential for international travel
    • This role reports to the Sr. Manager, Applications Development
