Business Unit: MP Mount Vernon

Location: Mt. Vernon, MO USA

Activity at Location: Manufacture of conveyors

Work Eligibility: Must be eligible to work in the USA

Relocation: Relocation not available

Reports to: Finish Supervisor

Position Description: Responsible for installation of hydraulic components

Minimum Required Qualifications

Education: HS diploma or equivalent required

Certifications: Technical training or certification in hydraulics is preferred

Language Requirements: Must speak, read, write English fluently

Experience Level: 1-3 years of experience in hydraulic system installation or 1-3 years maintenance experience on heavy equipment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Hydraulic Technician to install hydraulic components in our plant. This role requires technical expertise in hydraulic systems and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality. The technician will be responsible for providing technical guidance to the installation team and ensuring that all hydraulic systems meet performance requirements before shipping.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct hand's on installation of hydraulic components, demonstrating proper techniques and ensuring compliance with engineering specifications.
  • Perform thorough testing of hydraulic systems, including pressure testing, flow testing, and functional testing to verify correct operation and identify any issues or defects.
  • Inspect installed components and systems for leaks, defects, or malfunctions, and oversee troubleshooting efforts to address any problems that may arise.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality assurance teams to resolve technical issues and ensure that hydraulic systems meet performance and safety standards.
  • Document installation procedures, test results, and any modifications made to hydraulic systems, maintaining accurate records for quality assurance and compliance purposes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in hydraulic component installation processes and implement best practices to optimize productivity.

Qualifications:

  • Strong technical aptitude and expertise in hydraulic principles, components, and systems.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform tasks requiring manual labor and lifting of heavy equipment.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic testing equipment and diagnostic tools is a plus.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

Hourly rate $27-$30
