We're seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-impact environment. This is a unique opportunity to work directly on-site at Naval Base San Diego, providing essential IT support that keeps our nation's defense systems running smoothly. What You'll Do * Install, configure, and maintain IT systems in both stand-alone and client-server environments. * Provide hands-on support for MS Server, Defense Message Systems, and other authorized Navy systems. * Troubleshoot and repair hardware/software issues across network services, storage devices, and servers. * Set up and optimize wireless hubs, routers, switches, and transmission media. * Ensure seamless integration of multiple information systems in a secure, networked environment. * Support and maintain Local Area and Base Area Networks. * Work with advanced networking protocols including IPv6, EIGRP, BGP, VLANs, VPNs, and NAT. What You Bring * 2+ years of hands-on desktop support experience (not just help desk). * Strong knowledge of Windows 10, Active Directory, and ticketing systems. * Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair. * A fully adjudicated Secret Clearance and Security+ CE certification (both required). * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a mission-driven environment.
