Job Title: Consumer Credit Counselor
Job Description This role involves providing consumer credit counseling and administering debt management services. You will be responsible for recovering loan payments that might otherwise have been lost due to members experiencing financial difficulties. Responsibilities * Provide consumer credit counseling services to members. * Administer debt management services effectively. * Recover loan payments from members facing financial challenges. * Evaluate members' needs and offer appropriate solutions. * Think creatively and provide innovative solutions to members' financial issues. Essential Skills * Experience in collections, sales, retail, administrative, and customer service. * Competency in systems analysis, workflow, and procedural analysis. * Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Bachelor's or Associate's degree with experience in retail or sales preferred. * High School Diploma with collections or call center experience. * Financial background or banking experience preferred. * Working knowledge of consumer/credit card collections systems, policies, and procedures. * Ability to apply innovative approaches to solve technical design issues. * Empathy towards members' situations. Work Environment The work environment is team-oriented and involves high call volume. You will use multiple systems and be expected to be computer literate. The role requires a lot of interaction with members and demands empathy and effective communication. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Vienna, Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.62 - $20.62/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
