JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is responsible to define, develop, test, analyze and maintain new software applications and reporting as well as maintaining and updating existing applications and reports in support of the achievement of business requirements. Write, code and test applications and reports. Research, design, document and modify moderately complex software specifications. Create functional specifications for complex requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Design, develop, modify, debug, and implement short- and long-term solutions to IT needs through new and existing applications, systems architecture, network systems, and applications infrastructure for use throughout the Company.
  • Analyze existing programs or formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowcharting, perform coding, and test/debug programs.
  • Prepare detailed specifications from which programs will be written.
  • Develop system implementation plans.
  • Prepare and obtain approval of system and programming documentation.
  • Help prepare test plans with QA.
  • Maintain Project Life Cycle (PLC) standards.
  • Recommend changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
  • Train users in the implementation of the system.

Senior-level professional role. Evaluation, originality, or ingenuity required. Know and apply the fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of a particular field. Resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways. Assignments can be broad. May serve as a resource to others to resolve complex problems and issues. May take on project lead role as required. WORK EXPERIENCE:

Typically, 8 to 10 or more years of increasing responsibility in terms of any applicable professional experience.

PREFERRED EDUCATION:

Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Information Technology or related technical discipline. Master's degree or global equivalent a plus. Typically hold 1 or more industry certifications.

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • Technical proficiency in relevant languages and development tools.
  • Knowledge of RPG, RPG-ILE, CL, SQL, AS/400 environments, DDM, DB2 Database, XML, FTP, SFTP.
  • Ability to write program specifications and code from program specifications.
  • May require knowledge of JDE ERP.
  • Experience in Warehouse Management Systems and peripheral system
  • Experience in working with Wholesale or Retail distribution business systems
  • Experience in DSCSA (Drug Supply Chain Security Act) projects for Manufacturers and Wholesaler
  • Experience and knowledge of DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) regulations for control of drug distribution.
  • Experience in label printing tools and RF application.
  • Experience in the change management process, tools like Aldon or turnover a plus!

TRAVEL/ PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Travel typically less than 10%.
  • Office environment. No special physical demands are required.

SALARY RANGE:

The posted range for this position is $115,439 - $158,729 which is the expected starting base salary range for an employee who is new to the role to fully proficient in the role. Many factors go into determining employee pay within the posted range including education, prior experience, training, current skills, certifications, location/labor market, internal equity, etc.
