Duties:

• Assist in representation of clients across a wide range of industries in matters relating to all areas of intellectual property law including patent, copyright, trademark, trade dress and Hatch-Waxman litigation and appeals.
• Perform a wide range of tasks in IP litigation cases in US district courts under the supervision of senior attorneys. These tasks include analyzing patent file histories, prepare infringement analysis and conduct legal research on patent-related issues.
• Participate in discovery, fact development, legal research and analysis.
• Conduct fact development and legal research.
• Collect and summarize facts; research and analyze legal issues.
• Draft documents for legal proceedings and making court appearances.
• Participate in client meetings and witness review.

May telecommute up to 40%.

Requirements:

The position requires a Juris Doctor degree, LLM (or foreign equivalent) in Law or related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or in an Associate-related occupation. Position also requires a Master's Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Science, Engineering (any) or a related field. Position requires admission to the CA bar.

Position also requires demonstrable experience in the following:

• Reviewing, revising and filing patent applications.
• Legal research and writing on intellectual property litigation matters and patent infringement issues.
• Demonstrated experience in scientific analysis, research, and study design.
• Drafting and editing academic journal articles.
• Experience with engineering design, testing, and implementation.
• Understanding of US Patent law and applicable regulations related to the filing and defense of patents.

May telecommute up to 40%.

Salary: $260,000/year
