Quality Assurance Specialist

Under supervision of the Quality Assurance Supervisor or designate, the QA Technician performs testing of silicone materials, practices proper disposal of hazardous material, maintains lab supplies and assists in the investigation of material and testing failures. The QA Technician follows Standard operating procedures and maintains accurate documentation in a laboratory setting.

What we're looking for:

  • Education: HS Diploma or equivalent required
  • Experience: Familiar with lab equipment operation and set-up. Experience working with chemicals and chemical reactions helpful

Who you are:

  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to work in metrics
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

How you will thrive and create an impact:

  • Set up and operate test equipment
  • Perform R&D and IPQC testing
  • Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the lab.
  • Assist or lead NCR investigations/problem report consultation
  • Keep Accurate and legible documentation of Test Results
  • Handling and disposal of hazardous waste
  • Failure Mode Analysis of equipment and test methods
  • Participate in Lean initiatives, Lab Safety and Continuous Improvement Programs
