Your Role:

The Manager, Regional Sales will be responsible for implementing sales action plans and managing the sales effort to maximize the sales and profitability of Miltenyi Biotec, Inc. As a member of the Sales Management team, you will be responsible for hiring, developing, and maintaining an effective sales team and for achieving and contributing to the overall goals, strategies, and direction of Miltenyi Biotec, Inc.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Lead, develop, and manage a high-performing sales team. developing the team, laying a foundation of trust and transparency, empowering the team and ensuring that deliverables are on time and of high quality.
  • Develop their understanding of the market by working closely with their team and implements strategic sales plans to achieve corporate goals.
  • Direct sales forecasting activities and input for annual or periodic setting of sales goals.
  • Hire, develop and maintain an effective sales team. Design, recommend and implement strategies and plans to retain productive and successful employees.
  • Provide regular remote and in-person coaching and feedback (formal and informal) to sales representatives to guide effective development and operations.
  • Analyze sales data to identify areas of opportunity and need and formulates plans to capture the opportunity and navigate through challenges.
  • Meet with key clients, assisting sales representative with maintaining relationships, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with team members as well as adjacent departments such as tec support, service and customer service to support the goals, strategies, and overall direction of the organization.
  • Manage day to day work activities of the sales region, including but not limited to establishment and execution of regional and territorial strategic plans, approval of regional expenses, enforcement of company policy and management generated programs, and assurance of good time and territory management.
  • Contribute to the company's development as a member of the Management team, knowing and utilizing internal resources, working with other members of the management team, assuming responsibility for the overall company quality and customer satisfaction, maintaining and promoting company excellence and professionalism.
  • Design and recommend sales programs and sets short-term and long-term goals within assigned region, in coordination with the other members of the Sales Management team and internal company resources.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's Degree in life sciences required. Master's Degree or higher in life sciences preferred; A minimum of 6 years' experience within the life sciences industry with demonstrated success in sales management; at least 3 years of experience managing a team; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Immunology background highly preferred.
  • Hands on experience within a lab environment preferred.
  • Adept at building relationships both inside and outside of the organization.
  • International & Domestic 50% to 75%

This job is performed in a variety of facilities. Each person performing this job must have a home office environment, which is temperature controlled. This job requires the person to be mobile to visit customer sites. Due to the travel requirements, this position may be exposed to natural elements of nature. Used research/clinical equipment may be handled in this job and strict safety guidelines and SOPs must be followed and Personal Protective Equipment must be worn. All persons performing this job will receive appropriate training prior to engaging in work requiring Personal Protective Equipment or SOP procedures. The anticipated base salary for this position has been established at $119,357 - $140,420 (Washington DC area); $107,421 - $145,334.70 (Raleigh, Charlotte, and Atlanta areas); $95,486 - $129,186.40 (Tampa, FL area). The hiring range for this position is expected to fall between $119,357 - $161,483 (Washington DC area); $107,421 - $135,856 (Raleigh, Charlotte, and Atlanta areas); $95,486 - $120,761 (Tampa, FL area), reflecting the range candidates can reasonably expect to be considered for at time of offer, based on factors such as experience, internal equity, and qualifications.

In addition to the base salary, the role is also eligible to participate in our broader compensation package, which includes performance-based incentives. The total compensation of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialization, skills, abilities, and training. The above range represents the Company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

In addition to your salary, the Company offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, vision, and dental insurance, plus a 401(k) plan. All benefits are subject to eligibility requirements. Certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses, commissions, or car allowance.
