Charlestown, NH - Cyl. maintenance - Retest How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW? Position Title: Production Associate (Cylinder Requalifier)

- Charlestown, NH
- 2nd Shift: 2pm - 10:30pm

The Cylinder Requalifier provides general assistance in the plant, including painting cylinders, valve/de-valve cylinders, general cylinder movement and handling throughout the plant including the loading of trucks. The Cylinder Requalifier may operate a forklift.

In particular you will:

  • Loads and unloads gas cylinders and/or other products onto and off of route trucks and trailers moving cylinders with proper carts only.

  • Rolls cylinders and operates a forklift truck for the movement of cylinders.

  • Sorts empty cylinders by type.

  • Checks for cylinder quantities, styles and product, and/or assists with inventory.

  • Reviews customer orders, pulls items from full inventory and loads items onto trucks for delivery.

  • Performs basic cylinder maintenance such as painting cylinders, labeling cylinders, and cleaning of work area.

  • Responsible for personal safety and health insuring a safe and healthy work environment. Ensures all safety rules are strictly observed and any accidents or injuries are promptly reported to management.

  • Reports all unsafe actions and conditions to supervisor immediately.

  • Responsible for punctuality and complying with hourly work schedules.

  • Interfaces with other department employees.

  • Perform other duties as required.

  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.

  • Prior experience operating a forklift and pallet jack is preferred.

  • Willingness to learn and become knowledgeable of hazards associated with high pressure cylinder tanks.

  • Ability to safely drive a forklift.

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets.

  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds.

  • Must be able to operate in a drug-free workplace.

  • Ability to perform very heavy work routinely lift 25 to 75 lb., and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 100 lb. Also required to push and pull liquid containers weighing up to 1000 pounds with the aid of material handling equipment.

  • Ability to perform work which includes routine climbing, balancing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and finger activities including the tightening of ratchet binders.

  • Ability to work independently and under some pressure to meet deadlines.

  • Ability to smell and hear leaking gas from cylinders.

  • Work space is one that contains moving mechanical parts and risk of electric shock.

  • Requires both indoor & outdoor environments in various seasonal weather conditions. Must be able to work in temperatures ranging from -10 to over 100 degrees.
