Position: SOC Analyst II
Work Location: Irvine, CA (Onsite)
Work Schedule: This is a full-time, shift-based role with rotating schedules.
* Standard Shifts (Non-Daylight Saving Time): Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM OR 11:00 AM - 8:00 PM.
* Daylight Saving Time Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM OR 12:00 PM - 9:00 PM.
* You'll work 2-3 weekends per month, with compensatory days off provided during the week.
Overview:
A global leading service provider in cybersecurity solutions is looking for an experienced SOC Analyst to join their firm.
The SOC Analyst II provides security monitoring services to client companies by performing basic event analysis and incident response activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but not are limited to:
* Perform real-time security monitoring for potential security incidents and health alerts.
* Respond to security alerts, customer inquiries, and requests.
* Manage and close security incidents throughout the lifecycle and maintain accurate records of security incidents in case management systems.
* Analyze alerts and coordinate responses with senior analysts.
* Perform triage of potential security incidents in accordance with the SOC case handling procedures, alert handling procedures, and customer-specific procedures.
* Provide various reports generated with various tools to customers.
* Perform continuous improvements on services by identifying and correcting problems and gaps in knowledge and document materials.
* Assist with customer onboarding to managed security services, including SOC services, vulnerability scanning, and MDR services.
* Conduct monitoring and maintenance of security tools for internal and customer use.
* Engage in technical problem-solving across multiple technologies.
* Other duties requested by Management.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a SOC Analyst, including hands-on incident response.
* 5+ years in cybersecurity, system administration, or a related technical field.
* Proven expertise in designing and implementing network security devices (e.g., firewalls and IDS/IPS) or production servers (Linux/Windows).
* Certifications: MCSE, MCP, CCNA, Security+, CISSP, GIAC, CISA (not required but preferred).

The base pay range above represents the low and high end of the base compensation range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual base compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including, but not limited to, geographic location, actual experience, and job performance.
