TEAM UP WITH US! The Assistant Hospitality Manager is responsible for assisting the Hospitality Manager in guest services, staff management and operational efficiency. Your hospitality industry expertise, customer service skills and leadership will ensure an exceptional guest experience. DO YOU HAVE WHAT IT TAKES? WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Assist with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Lodge and Commons.
- Implement guest service standards, ensuring consistent delivery of outstanding customer experiences.
- Assist with guest inquiries, feedback, and complaints, resolving issues promptly and maintaining a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and streamline operations, such as housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage services.
- Assist with monitoring budgets, expenses, and revenue streams to achieve financial targets while maintaining high service quality.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and staff by adhering to safety and security protocols.
- Assist with overseeing inventory management, procurement, and vendor relationships to ensure adequate supplies and equipment.
- Provide support for all employees of Lodge and Commons.
- Supervisory Duties: Directly supervise assigned team; Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED:
- High school diploma or general education diploma (GED); one to three years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education experience.
- Hospitality certification preferred but not required.
- Previous supervisory or managerial experience preferred but no required.
- Strong leadership and inter-personal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to details and prioritizing skills.
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to use judgement, creativity and sound technical knowledge to obtain and recommend solutions.
- Work in fast paced environment to meet our customers' needs.
- Ability to work overtime as a job requirement dependent on department needs.
- Availability for weekends, holidays or evenings work as required.
- Ability to order and maintain all supplies and products needed for day-to-day operation of the facilities.
