Job Highlights

Play a pivotal role in expanding our market presence, managing cross-functional projects, and contributing to the growth of our specialty chemicals portfolio within the industrial additives sector.

  • Manage and grow sales at key customers and distributors for LANXESS Lubricants Additive Business (LAB) with account and budget repsonsibility developing and maintaining key account plans while keeping CRM current.
  • Identify customer and product combination, niche value propositions in, but not exclusively, to the MWF/Lubricants Additive market with focus on Additin products.
  • Proactively engage and contribute to ongoing supply and operational planning through IBP monthly meetings, take ownership whenever required with a proactive approach to cost management, forecasting, overdues, incoterm alignment, etc.
  • Trade show participation-AFPM, ILMA, STLE and NLGI as assigned by management.
  • Learn the LANXESS culture, people, LAB product line, markets, customers to develop a positive reputation within the business unit and develop into a potential sales management role.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Science, Engineering or a closely related field.
  • MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales.
  • Successful track record of qualifying prospects, selling value and closing targets with experience in the chemical industry.
  • Excellent people management, influencing, relationship, team building and conflict management skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and anticipate individuals' motivations and reactions.
  • Ability to managecomplexity to favorable outcomes.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Ideally candidates should reside in the Great Lakes area (Ohio, Indiana or Illinois). Area may cover the Great Lakes and Northeast Territory.
