Job description

We're looking for a seasoned Business Analyst to join a fast-paced consulting environment, working with top-tier clients in the energy and financial services sectors. This role blends strategic analysis, stakeholder engagement, and technical knowledge, with a strong emphasis on Openlink Endur implementation and configuration.

You'll act as a key link between business users and developers-translating complex requirements into system solutions, mapping business processes, and supporting project delivery from design through go-live.

What You'll Do:

  • Facilitate discovery sessions, workshops, and stakeholder interviews to gather and analyze business needs.
  • Translate business requirements into functional specifications, workflows, and solution designs.
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend system enhancements to close gaps between current and future states.
  • Develop architecture documentation related to business processes, applications, and data flows.
  • Troubleshoot issues, work closely with developers to resolve defects, and ensure end-user satisfaction.
  • Support testing and training efforts, and guide client teams through successful system rollouts.
  • Conduct industry and competitor research to support strategic initiatives.
  • Deliver high-quality client-facing outputs such as reports, proposals, and presentations.
  • Create reusable documentation and assets to support future project engagements.
  • Contribute to project planning efforts and provide basic scripting or planning support where needed.

What You Bring:

  • 5+ years of Business Analyst experience, ideally in consulting or complex implementation environments.
  • Hands-on experience configuring and extending Openlink Endur to align with business needs (required).
  • Previous work within a management consulting firm is highly desirable.
  • Industry experience in energy, utilities, or commodities trading is a strong advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to define, document, and improve business processes and system flows.
  • Track record of successful client training, testing coordination, and go-live support.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present effectively to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience developing proposals and supporting project execution from planning through delivery.
  • Proficiency with project management practices and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree required; preferred majors include MIS, Business, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Financial Engineering) is a plus.
