Overview:

The Logistics Technician II provides logistical services to all Divisions within the Office of Protection. This includes supporting the Secretary of State's protective detail, the U.S. Ambassador to the Unite Nations protective detail, Foreign Dignitary Details, and major domestic and international security events. This role ensures smooth coordination of equipment, vehicles, materials, and administrative logistics in a dynamic operational environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Schedule and prepare vehicles for official use, including coordination with the fleet management officer.
  • Perform vehicle maintenance checks (fuel, oil, tires, cleaning) and conduct weekly inspections; report and resolve issues, including armor defects.
  • Support shipping and transport of vehicles and equipment to off-site locations nationwide.
  • Maintain and update logistics and inventory records, including property, supply, and equipment tracking.
  • Receive, unpack, inspect, store, and issue supplies and materials; maintain organized, clean storage areas.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate replenishment or repair actions as needed.
  • Assist in the development, formatting, and proofreading of courseware, lesson plans, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Coordinate with program managers to support training and operational requirements.
  • Pick up and deliver official correspondence and sensitive items.
  • Escort uncleared personnel during building maintenance or equipment servicing.
  • Review and analyze nationwide monthly vehicle logs and reports.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

  • Supervisory responsibilities are not anticipated.

Education and/or Experience:

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Three or more years' experience providing logistics, warehouse, and property management/accountability.
  • College degree is preferred, but demonstrated work experience will be considered\

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Exceptional ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time in a fast- paced environment.
  • Independent, proactive, team-oriented, and adaptable to shifting priorities.
  • A flexible, team-oriented approach to work.

  • N/A

Security Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government SECRET security clearance.
